With the quick construction of infrastructures in the whole country and the whole world, construction machinery is used extensively and its safe operation is becoming more and more extremely important. The safe operation in building-site refers to the detection of operation status, acquisition and ananysis of signal. Due to the development and mature wireless communication technology, the long-distance data transimission, intelligent process, remote real-time supervisory and early-warning are feasible. It is significantly for the efficiency of construction machinery, safe operation and sevice level.This thesis is based on the 863 Project "Remote Maintaince and Supervisory System of Construction Machinery" that taken by Sany Group. The thesis aims at providing a novel approach for the design of remote data acquisition and transmission terminal, and a platform-level product of next generation of intellignent construction machinery.Based on the analysis multi-functional needs of construction machinery equipment, including remote data acquisition and transmission, the thesis uses modular and foresighted method, and ARM/DSP dual-core embedded CPU hardware modules with integrated GPS global positioning systems module and wireless networks GSM/GPRS/3G module, to design the terminal. The terminal provides CAN bus communication network for data collection and remote data transmission, and real-time access to operation status signals and location information to meet the multi-functional demand of remote data acquisition and transmission.This solution proposed in the thesis about the multi-function terminals for remote data acquisition and transmission in construction machinery, combines the demand of Sany Heavy Machinery in high-end product and supporting platform, and overcome drawback in the existing products that based on a simple microcontroller or ARM processor. It can upgrade and extend just using software. So, the solution is practical and meaning for the design of intelligent systems with highly reliability, performance safety for construction machinery.
