With the development of modern agriculture, greenhouse environmental control technology has made great progress. But there are many shortcomings of the greenhouse environment monitoring system such as low level of automation, system design complexity, and low level of modern management. Currently, most of the greenhouse control system focused on the theme of the micro-computer field, such greenhouse environment monitoring system is mainly digital processing based on hardware, the direct transmission and judging and handling within the hardware, intuitive control process, and the interaction of system with the user and the flexibility of the system is poor. The introduction of Virtual Instruments (Virtual Instrument, referred to as VI) technology provides a new way of thinking for the development of the greenhouse monitoring.Virtual instrument broke through sensing instruments of software and hardware integrated circuit package, and used the operator panel providing users with functional limitations not be modified, While computer resources combine hardware equipment through the program, the user can customize the measurement system according to individual needs.In this paper, the design of the greenhouse control system was proposed based on virtual instrument technology on the basis of the traditional greenhouse control, the sensor technology, computer technology and virtual instrument technology, combining the traditional instrument hardware functional integration, which greatly exceeded the traditional monitoring system in the data collection, processing, display and storage restrictions. The system used virtual instrument design, with LabVIEW10.0 for software development platform, used temperature and humidity sensors AHT2M1 measured greenhouse environment parameters, through the PCI-6251 multifunction data acquisition card sent environmental data collected to the LabVIEW platform. Realize data acquisition, processing, display, storage and limit alarm and so on, the system parameters can be quickly and easily configured through parameter setting module. The data can be easily queried, edited and historical data can be output through the database management module, and ultimately temperature and humidity of the greenhouse were monitored.The system test results show that:the system performed well, collected data in real time, and measured temperature and humidity values accurately, which is good to meet the needs of the greenhouse environment monitoring, to achieve the design goals.
