| In Chinese and other countries'history for a long time, the children had been in a state of no voice. The concern of the children in society was not high. Children were regarded as subservient to the adult world. In ancient society, children's education primarily focused on traditional ethical education. Education was always focused on the knowledge and moral. The teaching method was often backward. In the modern history, as the children standard thought was introduced into China, children's education made substantial changes. And during the year of 1927 to 1937, children's education got great development. The article chose the perspective of social education, analysed children's education of the kuomintang areas during the year of 1927 to 1937 and wanted to provide children's education with some suggestions today. Then the article dicussed children's education in the following sections.In the fist part, it introduced the children education backward of the period of the Republic of China. This part introduced the children education before the Nanjing national government was established and the year of 1927 to 1937. It wanted to give a clear detail of the backward and a macro description.In the second part, it mainly introduced some important organizations which advocated children's social education during the year of 1927 to 1937. It wanted to analyse the aim of these organizations' establishment and how they had the activities and tell readers the characteristics of the children's social education. This part started on government organizations and non-governmental organizations.In the third part, it mainly talked about the specific measures of the children's social education in this period. Firstly, it analysed some social group's efforts to the education such as writers, educators, painters, musicians, publish institutionals and so on. Then it introduced two important children's festivals--children's day and children's year. The people gave great concern of the children and had lots of measures to education children. Last of all, it introduced one Facility—children's library and told the readers its use in the education.In the last part, it analysed the features of the children's social education in the period of the Republic of China.During this period, no matter government or society, they all had a high focuse on the children's social education. The children's social education got great progress. We can get some experience from it and change our children's education today. |
