WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is the new network of being able to adaptive and self-organization, which has been applied from the people's livelihood to military affairs, from commerce to anti-terrorism and so on. On the basis of application field, the requirement of WSN is different. However they have something in common. For example, the node of WSN is in the place where people hardly to reach for adding the energy, and the power of the node is provided by energy-limited battery, which limits the lifetime of the node. When the amount of the dead nodes reaches a certain dimension, the whole network will be dead. Therefore, research of how to reduce energy consumption and prolongation of the whole network are the important directions of the WSN. There are many research achievements about it, and the thesis based on the large amount of materials both home and abroad studies the existed mature algorithm. This thesis provides an algorithm called BCERA (Base-Station Controlled Energy-Balanced Routing Algorithm).BCERA is based on the base-station which has a large amount of energy and easy to supplement as well as powerful calculation, so as to prolong the lifetime of nodes in the network. According to the information requirement of sending data, the nodes of WSN send these locations and surplus energy to the base-station. With information given by the nodes, the base-station can calculate distances between nodes and the surplus energy correctly and makes good use of nodes location and surplus energy in the phase of clustering, routing establishing and data communication. In the phase of selection and establishing of the cluster head, the base-station select the nodes with proper distance and more surplus energy as the cluster head of the network and try its best to distribute the nodes well with quantum cluster equilibrium technology in this process. In the phase of data communication, according to the surplus energy and the distance to the base-station, TDMA (Time-Division Multiple Access) is applied. The common nodes in the clustering send the data to these cluster head, afterwards the cluster head send these data with multi-hop routing to the base-station. For this reason, communication load is reduced and energy consumption is lowered.The theory analysis and simulation experiment shows that BCERA can balance the energy consumption in the network very well and can prolong the lifetime of the WSN.
