With the release of 5G SA standards in 2018,mobile communication has entered into the5 G era.Since 2019,China's three major mobile telecom carriers have built the world's largest5 G network,leading the global wave of investment in 5G construction.However,the application of 5G high frequency band,large bandwidth and other key technologies determines that the energy consumption of 5G wireless network equipment and the number of base stations are significantly higher than that of 4G network,and the network operating cost continues to increase.In the early stage of 5G commercialization,it also brings a huge challenge of "high energy consumption with low income".Therefore,it is of great practical significance and application prospect to study the energy-saving strategy of 5G base station which can adapt to the increasing of users.Based on comprehensive analysis of the energy consumption of mobile communication base stations.The data of 5G wireless network equipment and wireless network resource utilization are collected through the network management platform for 5G wireless network equipment and their relevant relations.With comprehensive analysis of 5G key technology,network architecture,existing software energy-saving function research.This paper proposes5 G base station energy saving strategy based on ARIMA algorithm.The algorithm modeled and trained by the base station energy consumption history data,to forecast the future wireless network resource utilization to generate the configuration of the parameters in the base station energy saving strategy.The method solves the problem of traditional energy saving strategy with single static configuration parameters.On this basis,the Sliding Window is used to establish the model which make it be adaptive with the new data from network management platform.The simulation results of the energy-saving strategy show that the algorithm can effectively improve the length of running time of the energy-saving function of the base station with low load,so as to improve the proportion of the base station's energy saving.Compared with the traditional static configuration,it can increase the network energy saving ratio by more than 30% under the condition of minimizing influence to the network,and it can be implemented through the existing network structure,which has strong economic significance and value of environmental protection.
