LTE-Advanced system which based on OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) can eliminate intra-cell interference but still can not mitigate inter-cell interference (ICI), which decrease the edge user's performance seriously. To slove this problem, CoMP is putting forward. By sharing information such as data and channel state information(CSI) across multiple evolved NodeBs (eNB) and configuring joint precoding at cooperative transmitters,the ICI may be mitigated or even beneficial.In this paper, the architectural and key technology in LTE-Advanced system was briefly introduced first, and then went into detail for CoMP, including the system model, multiple kind of transmission mode, the precoding in CoMP, the feedback mode, scheduling algorithm and so on. In the fourth chapter, the platform of system simulation was present. And then, based on the joint processing algorithm and classical soft frequency reuse algorithm, a novel scheduling algorithm which is appropriate for CoMP was proposed. Through system simulation, the new algorithm can improve the edge users'throughput grately. All in all, this thesis analyses the system characteristics, which will build a foundation for future research.
