In recent years, large-scale growth of data transmission leads to the increasingly urgent demand for transmission bandwidth and rate. However, due to narrow bandwidth, the rate that is difficult to meet the higher requirements and electromagnetic compatibility issues, the traditional electrical interconnection has a bottleneck technology in transmission, so that it can not meet this growing demand. The optical interconnection with its advantages of huge capacity, high bit-rate, non-interference and low power consumption, is becoming more and more attractive for people. And it would become the main interconnection method instead of the electrical interconnection in the future communication. This paper is mainly based in the High-speed parallel optical module to develop network management system which can monitor and control the service performance platform. In the performance platform we need to do large-scale parallel FFT calculation in optical interconnection with the same number in electrical interconnection. According to counting and comparing the calculation time between in the optical interconnection and in the electrical interconnection, the advantage of parallel optical interconnection is proved. This paper consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter, the advantages of parallel optical interconnection in transmission and the goal of network management system are discussed. In the chapterâ…¡, the basic concept, basic model and software structure of network management are introduced. In the chapterâ…¢, simple network management protocol (SNMP) are introduced in detail, including SNMP communication model, Management Information Base (MIB), Structure of Management Information (SMI), PDU information format and so on. The chapter IV analyzes requirements of network management system first, and then designs the basic structure and detail of the system. Based in the chapter IV, the chapter V develops the network management system in terms of network management program and SNMP agent. In the chapter VI, network management system is accomplished and realizes the control and monitor for the performance platform. The final chapter conducted a brief summary of full paper.
