With the popularity of broadband services, and especially the emergence of new broadband services like IPTV, the requirement of network in support of broadband services is gradually elevated. Comparing with traditional telecom access method, Ethernet" Passive Optical Network (EPON) has a clear advantage in broadband resource, network-building management and QoS guarantee, etc., which can largely satisfy the requirement of various telecommunication network services.However, the simplex appraisal system using QoS as mainstay obviously cannot meet the needs of various broadband services. This, to some extent, limits the deployment and development of broadband services. This thesis proposes a new appraisal system based on Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation in Ethernet Passive Optical Network, and conducts theoretical analysis as well as modeling and simulation on the new appraisal system.The innovation points contained in the work are shown as follows:1. For the popularity of broadband services and the needs of various services of current market, this thesis proposes a service-oriented QoE comprehensive evaluation model based on QoS reflection.2. After reviewing comprehensive literature, the thesis builds simulation models targeting at the existing EPON DBA and obtains and shows corresponding QoS.3. By synthesizing the above two main points, the thesis comprehensively evaluates QoE based on Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) in Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) and QoS reflection.
