The level of decision directly determines the fate of the enterprise, So many decision-makers want to take advantage of modern information technology to improve the level and quality of decision-making. Workflow simulation is used to simulate the business process in a computer, and get a lot of running data. We can use the data to assist the decision-making. So the method of simulation has received widespread attention.Currently, the technology of workflow simulation used to support decision-making is still in its infancy. This paper basined on the 863 project's sub-project "process-oriented software production line" designed and implemented a workflow simulation tool to support decision-making. Our work is mainly in the following areas:1. Because there are many factors influencing the decision-making, we use a project-oriented approach, which divided the implementation process of simulation into six stages, and then analysis the tasks of each stage that need to complete and the person who do it, show the common defects of each stage.2. In order to meeting the diversity of the goals of decision, simulation environment must provide different data for different decision goals. In this paper, we analysis the decision goal and the setting methods of simulation environment, and designed a simulation environment that can adapt to a variety of decision-making goals. This can quickly set up a flexible simulation environment, and meet simulation parameter setting of a variety of decision goals.3. In order to the description of the exception event of the real system, we leaded into two support models:exception model and deadline model. The two models is important to improve the fidelity of simulation.4. We used two methods to guarantee the correctness of simulation model:static checking and dynamic simulation. They check the correctness of the model from different angles.5. We designed and implemented the workflow simulation tool for the supporting of decision-making, which was based on the structure of B/S. We design and implement the simulation engine by calling the interface of the SynchroFlow workflow engine and adding the controlling information. Finally, we show an application example (the credit card application process) to verification the validity and effectiveness of the above theory.
