Many materials and products take the form of particles in reality, so the size distribution of particles has a great impact on the quality and performance of these products. The Laser Particle Size Analyzer based on Mie algorithm is widely used in the field of particle size measurement. In current time, the laser particle analyzer usually use the data acquisition card to collect the data and transfer the data to the PC for compute and display with PCI bus. It leads to low integration of the circuit system, large volume, high power consumption, high cost of the Laser particle analyze, and data transmission is susceptible to interference. In view of this situation, we use embedded system based on DSP and ARM to design the circuit and test it.The research on the following aspects is completed in this paper:Researched on the theory of the micro-sphere light scattering has completed a single particle and the particle group scattering intensity distribution analysis, established a laser scattering measurements of light scattering particles distribute mathematical model.Secondly, according to the design requirements completed the design on DSP and ARM embedded system and designed the laser granulometer data acquisition circuit, operation circuit,control and display circuit. finished the circuit chip selection, each module circuit design and PCB design.Thirdly, completed the design of the DSP data acquisition circuit driver, ARM interface drivers and other hardware driver debugging design, and did some related experiments.Fourthly, did some experiments on the original particle in the laboratory test platform of the circuit system data acquisition. Through the comparison with the values to verify the feasibility of hardware system.Through the study of this subject, finished the integrated laser granulometer key circuits design attempting, reduced the volume and power consumption equipment, improved the anti-interference ability of particle size analyzer. Used embedded system to improve the instrument automation, and enrich the automatic peripheral interfaces.
