Study Of Integrated Laser Particle Sizer Based On Embedded System

The laser particle sizer has the capacity to obtain the information of particle size and distribution by detecting the relative energy scattered by the particles, with the fixed wavelength. The traditional instrument usually has an external computer which receives the data by the cable. The data transmission of long distance is very easily disturbed, which reduces the precision of the instrument. To improve the precision, this paper develops a new type of integrated laser particle sizer, which makes use of embedded technology instead of external computer.The main work includes:1. Designing the inside structure of the new type of laser particle analyzer and designed three system, such as optical system,data collection system and data processing system.2. Compiling the software of data collection system and data processing system which include three parts: the processing and displaying software which has many functions ,such as data collection, calculation, display, memory and so on;the driver which supports the USB device and the display;and the system software of the Windows XP Embedded according to the peripheral equipment, and the system image to be transplanted.3. Performing experiments with the new laser particle sizer to test the three standard particles with satisfied results earned.
