At present fire is a disaster that often happens. With the development of economy, many kinds of modern buildings demand Automatic Fire Alarm System higher requirements. The development situation of automatic fire alarm system is introduced in the paper, and the existing problem is analyzed. According to the development of Embedded system's current condition, the author offers a design of intelligent automatic fire alarm system. This system uses a Samsung ARM920T S3C2410 (based on the ARM9 architecture) chips as the system processor. Through the digital-type fire detectors S3C2410 processor collects fire information, such as temperature, smoke concentration and so on, and then sends the information to the host. The host makes a corresponding treatment after analysising the received information. The user interacts with the system through buttons on the control panel, and changes the parameters.This paper gives a simple description of the system's hardware structure and discusses in detail the migration of the embedded Linux operating system with MiniGUI as the system's GUI system. The paper discusses the design of the interface driver and application program and realizes the fire alarm control system. At last, the system has been tested on the spot, and the testing result proves that the system has realized the function of Real-time monitoring and the index has met the design demands. The system has broad practical value.The fire alarm control system has been formally put into practical use and at present the system runs steadily and well.
