Research On The Software Distributes Modle In Network Management

With various kinds of software emerge in endlessly and their updating frequently, network administrator's amount of maintenance is increasing rapidly because of the heavy burden. This makes the simple and reliable patch distribution and software unified arrangements an important direction for all the network administrators.This system is implemented, as a software distribution system, on the basis of a configuration management model which is part of a network management system using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). This system could solve the problem of host's software management which is probably a major problem for the network administrator. Software unified distribution mainly includes patch installing and the arrangement of internet application.In order to meet the requirements of the software management in enterprises, a software distribution model in a network management system is designed in this paper. The push-distributing method in this model makes the Software and patch deployment convenient any time at any place. And the pull-distributing method gives the users the right to choose. Design of multiple distribution policies enriches distribution. Important network devices could be protected and the potential crisis of the enterprises could be removed by using the Priority policy. The network bandwidth policy is designed to make a full utilization of the bandwidth and to improve the efficiency of software distribution. Sub-modules like tele-software inquiry and uninstall, log information distribution make this module more sophisticated and provide the very foundation for network administrators to maintain it.
