The rapid development of personal communication techniques and markets leads to the fact that the demand of data service, such as multimedia message, on-line game, music download and mobile TV, will soon go beyond the ability provided by the wireless network today.3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution) is the evolution of 3G standards, which can be used to improve the 3G air interface performance, due to the adoption of several advanced wireless communication technologies such as OFDM, MIMO, All-IP-network etc. LTE, the prime candidate for 3G wireless network evolutions, could provide the peak rate of downlink 100Mbit/s uplink and 50Mbit/s in the 20MHz bandwidth spectrum.Cell search is one of the key procedure for mobile communication system. User Equipment could search a variable cell and get time synchronization, frequency and frame synchronization. Only finishing the cell search, UE can get more information for the cell and other information for the close cell, then UE could listen the call or make a call.The paper does the research on cell search access, meanwhile simulates cell search algorithm based on standard of LTE. Some key technique such as estimation of frequency offset, synchronization capture and track, downlink click synchronization, cell ID identify, are also described in detail. Simulation result shows the better performance of the scheme proposed in the paper. At the final, the author summarizes the main work and indicates some problems which are further study.
