Power plant is a kind of asset-intensive enterprise; it will occupy a lot of working capital to realize maintenance and repair of assets. Full realization of informatization and business assets maintenance automation management will reduce operating costs, improve the production efficiency, and ensure the safety and reliability of power enterprise, which has very important practical significance.With the development of the informatization construction, many the management systems for power generation enterprise are developed, and these relatively independent systems made important contribution for generating the modern enterprise operation in the specific periods. However these systems are respectively designed and developed for section functions of assets maintenance process, they are totally independent, lacking of unified planning, and so has caused widespread problem which known as "information island". Currently, the problem has become significant hurdles for further development of power system automation, information and intelligent system.Besides, there are no unified power plant resource information model both at home and abroad.During the process of power plant informatization there still exists the problem of lack of an uniform description standard,and obstacles in combination of the existing EAM (enterprise asset management) system and power generation enterprise.This paper is based on the theories and technologies of Object-oriented and MDA-Driven ideas, as well as the latest international standards such as IEC 61970,IEC 61968. In order to realize the integration of application system, this paper places emphases on the research on solving unified planning design on power system maintenance. Based on the detailed study on the IEC 61968CIM, this paper analysizes and establishes model for plant assets information by using object-oriented ideas, and establish CIM on asset management business in power system. Meanwhile,by analysising and designing business activities on asset maintenance process within equipment life cycle including inventory, defect, maintenance, repair and maintenance programs etc, and combining plant information management business requirements, this paper researches and develops an asset management system which is appliable for all kinds of power enterprises. Based on the identical information model and unified information interaction interfaces, this system realizes the comprehensive integration of maintenance business assets, provides fundamental solutions to solve the existing problem of information island.The system's characteristics are as follows:1) The system follows the standards home and abroad,and unifies information exchange model and interactive interfaces, which will be fundamentally help the power generation enterprises solve the urgent system integration problems.Thus scientific management and strategic decision can be implemented by the power generation enterprises,and the power plants'production efficiency can be significantly promoted;2) This system,which adopts advanced scientific management idea and reaches world-class levels,is a systematic product which is uniformly planed and designed based on system engineering ideas. The system developed on this research has been successfully applied in many a power enterprise, and has achieved good social and economic benefits.
