Research On PTDN Architecture And Implementation Of Network Management System

The problems of the current architecture of the Internet includes disorder, uncertain network behavior, poor manageability and QoS.The fundamental reason lies in the architecture design flaw. These deficiencies led to the less known network and poor manageability, such problems as network reliability, quality of service (QoS) can not be completely resolved.This paper analyzes the current problems of Internet.By analysis of the characteristics of hierarchical network, we presented the architecture of Public Telecom Data Network and completed the design and implementation of PTDN network management system under this program.This paper studies the following topics:(l)We proposed the architecture of the PTDN network (including network topology, address structure, packet format, addressing modes, etc.),which is heoretical basis for management of network;(2) Extension of the SNMP-MIB, definition of the managed objects under PTDN network;(3)The design and implementation of PTDN network management system; By network management system, network managers could complete the configuration of the managed resources and real-time monitoring of-network traffic, detect network fault and solve network problems efficiently.(4) The study of PTDN data view under network management system, including data view shows and experiments of the data views.According to the above discussions, the paper proveed both in theory and practice that PTDN is a knowable, controllable and manageable carrier-class network, as well as meets all the requirements of Future Packet Based Networks (Y.2601).
