The visual aids in the system activate the ER control system and the relevant operation becomes vivid and concrete. With the assistance of the techniques of the voice and the visual motion pictures the practical operation in the ER can be demonstrated clearly and completely to the students. The system can also provide realistic screen display, warning and keyboard operation. With the practical training of the software, the students will have a good command of the main application of the system. An operational guideline and s testing system are also added on basis of the simulation system so that the system can automatically score the test papers and assess the results of the operation.The training and assessment systems take the form of an opening structure and the instructors can amend or upgrade the original materials in accordance with the course requirement and the new development of technology to further satisfy the needs of automatic engine room training.When the system is applied to the practical training of marine engineering, it can solve the problems of exceeding number of students and inadequate room for operation. In comparison with the real equipment demonstration, the visual guideline reduces the loss of the large equipment operated on and brings forth social and economic efficiency.
