ZigBee is superiority of its nowire, low-rate, low-price in respect of wireless sensor networks ,but it's a research topic how to achieve interoperability with other networks. The purpose of this design is to confirm the possibility of interoperate between ZigBee and Ethernet by designing a transmission system linking them.The key of this paper is design the gateway of the transmission system which bring the ZigBee link with the Ethernet effectly.In this piece of paper, the core processor of the gateway is to the internal ZigBee chip CC2430 enhanced 8051 MCU processors,with aided design of Ethernet controller,JTAG programming port and other structures to complete the hardware platform,based the under network data transmission system is ZigBee wireless sensor network. In the facet of software,cuting and transplanting the ZigBee and Ethernet TCP/IP protocol to drive the hardware platform, to achieve the transparent data conversion between ZigBee and Ethernet,to complete the data transmission and interactive subsequently.Finally, test the system including the CC2430 ZigBeenetwork terminal node testing and gateway performance test, and analyse the test results. Test results show that the transmission system, the underlying wireless network data to achieve a low data transmission. Show that the transmission system could accomplish the transmission between the two networks for the low data bps. This design has reached the desired design objectives, approved thread of design is correct basically, and there is a certain practical significance.
