With the technology of embedded, wireless communication, distributed computing and sensor booming development, wireless sensor network technique has appeared which has the perception, computing power and wireless communication ability. Due to increasing complex environment of monitoring object, just getting simple data of interested object has already not satisfied the needs. So the tendency which combines the multi-media with the WSN together will be popular. Although there are many WSN nodes and related study about basic theory, there is also some challenge. The challenge includes how to transmit plenty of multi-media information lively, the limited processing ability of nodes and coding and compression lively.The paper analyzes the characters of WSN and its shortages, researches the ZigBee protocol and working principle and makes analysis about the feasibility. The paper proposes a comprehensive scheme, which studies about the collection and processing of the wireless audio WSN information, coding and compression technique as well as wireless communication. The paper overcomes the difficulties of surviving WSN, which designs and achieves hardware platform of the system, the collecting and playing of the audio information, coding procession of audio information and the establishment of wireless internet on ZigBee. Finally, the system achieves the WATS based on ZigBee by the CC2430 platform.The paper lastly makes test. The test results show that the system achieves to collect audio information, transmit and play wirelessly, which meets the expected demands. The system is stable, lively, low cost and low power, which contains applying and academic value to some degree.
