The method used in this paper is "find-analyze-solve problems". Firstly, introduce the overview and the existing state of affairs of Science Times. And then analyze the main problems now existing in this newspaper. Secondly, analyze the external and internal circumstances of Science Times. External circumstances include macro-circumstances of politics & economy, demand of readers, various competitors of Science Times. Internal circumstances include all kinds of resources and competing ability Science Times has now. Based on analysis all above, and according to the strategic target in future, differentiation strategy is the suitable competition strategy for Science Times, which can help it to face the competition in future,and also overcome obstacles in future.
