Certain University Library Information Security Management Research

With the development of modern information technology, information resources are shared maximumly. But at the same time, we should also notice that the development comes with many problems of information security which has been a focal point in this information society.Library is one of important supports of university and is in charge of affording information resources and service helping to educate advanced human resources. With the development of society, some administrating measures of information security have been out of date in the new environment. Therefore, it is very significant to research the relevant administrating system of information security for university library in order to ensure the smooth of library business and security of information asset.The paper firstly disserted the concept, importance, objectives and principles of information security management, and gave a brief introduction of international famous information security management system standard, ISO/IEC 27002.Then, the paper analyzed problems of information security management by deeply discussing and researching work of information security management in certain college library. Under the actual situation of the library, the author discussed how to use the internationally accepted information security management system standard, ISO/IEC 27002, to build an information security management system for college library. Finally, the paper made some improved analysis and future prospects for the information security management system of that university library.
