With the rapid development of modern information technology, the information-based management of institutions of higher learning is progressing steadily. Digital archives constitute a major part of digitalized information management of institutions of higher learning. The management system of security and safeguard information of Zhuhai College of Jilin University handles the historical records of the routine work of the security department. The standardization and normalization of the management of digital information on security and safeguard in institutions of higher learning can markedly increase the efficiency of security work, promote the building of a secure campus, create a safe and orderly learning, working and living environment and help lay a solid foundation for the building of a harmonious campus. The design of security and safeguard management system for Zhuhai College of Jilin University is supposed to ameliorate the work of the security department, promote the management and application of security and safeguard information.This thesis is an attempt for a systematic, normalization and automation study of the security and safeguard information management system of Zhuhai College of Jilin University, in order to build a security and safeguard information management system, on the basis of the actual conditions of the college and taking full allowance of future development.The research of the thesis starts with the current demand of the society on college campus security and actual conditions of the college, and aims at an online network that would enhance the work efficiency of the security department. The thesis leads in from the research background and significance of the research, carries on with an analysis of work demands through the assistance of system theory and relevant technology, developed with the design of an overall system framework, and interface design, is followed by a functional test, and culminates in a complete security management system. The thesis is divided into seven chapters, and is developed a step-by-step work pattern.The procedure of the development is shown as follows: there is first a clear description of the social background of and specific demands on the security and safeguard information system at Zhuhai College of Jilin University; there follows thereafter a definition of development environment and tools. Next comes a subdivision of daily functions into micro-units. There comes a scientific and rational analysis of the realization of the functions. There is also a prescription on the overall non-functional requirements of the system with a view to the promotion of the rationality of the system.The system involves eight aspects, hence divided into eight sub-systems: comprehensive information management of the security department, the screening of potential security hazards, intra-campus staff-students population registration administration, campus logbook keeping, campus technology security management, campus law and order maintenance, campus traffic management, fire prevention and fighting. Then there are function designs for the eight sub-systems and test runs. There is also the design for the easy-to-operate human-computer interaction interface.The system involves eight aspects, hence divided into eight sub-systems: comprehensive information management of the security department, the screening of potential security hazards, intra-campus staff-students population registration administration, campus logbook keeping, campus technology security management, campus law and order maintenance, campus traffic management, fire prevention and fighting. Then there are function designs for the eight sub-systems and test runs. There is also the design for the easy-to-operate human-computer interaction interface.At the current stage, a data operation aimed at a test of the functional parts of the system has shown that all the functions run properly to the anticipated effects, following normal and correct operation procedures. A test run of the boundary data of the system data resulted in a correct display of error indications and recovery processing. As for some special circumstances, due to the restrictions of reality, correct responses have not yielded.The design of security and safeguard information management system for Zhuhai College of Jilin University will promote the work of the security department, and to a great extent mitigate the trouble of low efficiency, prone to errors in the security information management, thus to enhance the efficiency of campus peace keeping and the resources scheduling, leading the work of campus security to intelligentization and high efficiency, cutting down the expenditure on human resources, reinforcing the work of campus security management.
