Research Of Workflow Management System Based On Web Services

Modern enterprises face a growing number of internal and external competitive pressures. If they want to survive in the competition and make great progress, some modern management measures must be taken. For example, cutting off the cost, improving efficiency, restructuring the business and establishing new business processes. The introduction of workflow technology can bring enterprises much profit. The response speed will be faster, and the service quality will be better. All of this has changed the traditional business management pattern.Traditional workflow applications in some areas have played an important role. But with the development of network technology and the complexity trend of business systems, they also led to a series of problems. Research on Web Services-based Workflow Management System has not only solved some problems which traditional workflow system cannot, but also reuse the business process services to the maximum extent.The Web Service which based on XML and HTTPS has made rapid progress in recent years. Meanwhile, the development of distributed computing technology makes the distributed, heterogeneous and asynchronous workflow management system possible; Web Service technology as an emerging distributed computing technology, when combined with workflow technology, greatly promoted such developments. This paper firstly analyzes the level of Web Service and the structure of the workflow management system model, and then gives an example of a Web Service-based workflow management system.Based on Web Services for workflow management system can be completed for Web Service to encapsulate the enterprise mission activities control and call work, can make the different tasks mission activities flow of information interaction activities to be more convenient. Web Service is a service based on XML language, it can process information interaction in the Internet through HTTP protocol, can easily finish corresponding mission activities.W3C unifies the standards of Web Service for the cross-platform and operating system, which makes the implementation of cross-platform much more easier. Compared with the traditional technology. Web Service technology chooses a dynamic integration strategy, which makes all of its services can be released, discovered and used through the UDDI from anywhere, anytime so as to the system changes can be adapted and the flexibility of the system has obvious effect. Overall, generally speaking, the workflow management system model based on Web Services is a loosely coupled, reusability strong distributed computing model.A strict protocol support is required when Web Services-based workflow management system is running. This paper first introduces the technologies of the Web Service and workflow, and also introduces the model and design of workflow management system. After that, a Web Service based workflow model which combined with the distributed and heterogeneous system has been designed. Then the framework design of the Web Service based workflow management system is clearly stated. Finally, we describe the implementation of the Web Service-based workflow management system by a specific example.
