With the steady and rapid growth of Chinese economy,there provides a solid foundation and broad space for china's rapid developing insurance industry. At the same time,there become more and more competition in China's insurance industry .The Chinese insurance company has increased its inputs in exploration of the new business management ideas and technology .Business intelligence technology is the advanced information technology .Its main aim is to provide decision supporting by analyzing and processing business data.With the rapid development of information and business ,data warehouse technology has broad prospects and huge potential.This article introduces the background knowledge of business intelligence, including: the definition and characte of business intelligence and the common solutions on the market now.By analysing requirements,we identified the need of property insurance company business intelligence project;In the design and implementation stages, first introduced the function and structure of the overall system design ideas, and then describes the design of data warehouse model, data extraction, transformation and loading methods and strategies and the design of multi-dimensional analysis of the report.At last concluded in the implementation of business intelligence project experiences and lessons, and proposed future work and direction.Through the implementation of the project ,We solved the Contradictions between the increasing data requirment and the more complex and diverse data sources. but there are still many deficiencies and regret, we should be continuously improving the data model, efficiency, and other problems.
