In recent years, business intelligence (hereinafter referred to as BI) has become one of the hottest search keywords. The main core technologies of business intelligence include data warehouse technology, on-line analytical processing technology and data mining technology. Business intelligence can find useful information in the mass, fuzzy data and documents in order to predict the future behavior of enterprises and support business decisions.Business intelligence is composed of data storage and analysis, the analysis of the data can be subdivided into data show and mining. As modern science and technology has developed to the era of Integration of innovation and human-computer interaction. And front-end display tools can show the data analysis results in a fast and intuitive way. The tools are the direct communication platform for users and computers. They are also the direct inspection of the effect of business intelligence. So the design of the front-end display tools plays a decisive role in the BI system. This paper developed a multidimensional data front-end display system based on metadata for small and medium-sized enterprises.This paper expatiates on the development and research status of the business intelligence and front-end display tools. The theoretical approaches and key technologies are also described and researched in this paper. Then based on the financial management system of A enterprise, this paper sorts out and analyzes the financial management system, extracts and classifies the important financial data. In addition, it studies the design principles, design ideas and Specific development processes, designs the model of A enterprise’s data warehouse, develops a kind of multidimensional data front-end display system based on the original metadata management system of A enterprise. This system provides multiple perspectives and comprehensive query analysis functions for corporate decision makers and managers. It also provides a feasible solution of BI front-end display system for small and medium-sized enterprise.
