The Research On Development Of Chinese Chorography Museum In The 17 Years After The Foundation Of The P.R.C

This thesis regards chorography museum in the 17 years after the foundation of the P.R.C as the research object to seek for its ideological and theoretical origin from the new perspective, explore the reasons for its developing vigorously in this period, analyze the development of Chinese chorography museum at different stages in order to present a relatively integrated evolution course.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction. Firstly, by comparing many different statements between the former Soviet Union and China, gives an impersonal definition of chorography museum from the angle of itself. Subsequently, literature review is given. In this thesis, theoretical study of chorography museum in our country is divided into three stages. The first stage is in the 1930s. In this stage, "chorography museum" had not yet been putted forward. But many museologists had carried out an in-depth study, which contained many problems, such as the connotation, the nature, exhibition content, characteristic and the sponsor of chorography museum. The second stage is from the 1950s to the 1960s. In this period, theoretical study was far-ranging and mainly focused on the following four aspects:1.literature introduction of chorography museum from the former Soviet Union; 2.guideline document of chorography museum; 3.the research on some specialized field of chorography museum; 4.a case study of chorography museum in our country. The third stage is from the late 20th to early 21th century. In this stage, people gradually diverted their attention to the development trend of chorography museum, and pointed out different viewpoints about extinction or development of chorography museum. Finally, states objective and significance of choosing Chinese chorography museum from 1949 to 1966 as the research object.The second part is seeking for the theory source of chorography museum in our country from 1949 to 1966. Analyzes the theory source of chorography museum in our country. One is the research on chorography museum in the thinking of our early modern museologists. The other is introduction and absorbance advanced experience of chorography museum from the former Soviet Union.The third part represents the process of development of chorography museum in China from 1949 to 1966. It has a gradual analysis on the process of development of chorography museum from the many different aspects, such as background, the content, quantity, regional distribution, service function and the emphasis of exhibition. The thesis divides development of chorography museum into three stages from 1949 to 1966, and illustrates respective development state and characteristic.The last section states the causes of developing vigorously of chorography museum in the 17 years after the foundation of the P.R.C. The text discusses the causes of developing vigorously of chorography museum from international environment, political background, the characteristic of the time, the development trend of museum, people hankering for advanced knowledge and so on between 1949 on 1966.
