This paper analyzes the operating principle and technical scheme of Integrated Maintenance Assurance System, IMAS. Based on the system composition, the specifications and features of the system, the network integrated test methods are put forward. An integrated maintenance assurance system technical solution is designed and implemented based on LAN highway based centralized control, integrated service parallel testing and fault diagnosis.The IMAS is designed in detail, which composed by self-check subsystem, fault diagnosis and aided startup subsystem. Self-check subsystem is responsible for cell performance test, bit error test, Frame Relay test and call session performance test of communication node; fault diagnosis subsystem is used to test the short circuit of the cable and locate the open circuit fault; aided startup subsystem is provided for user of the system speedy startup assistant, the fault diagnosis encountered in startup and the relevant eliminate suggestions.As the test, guarantee and maintenance system in communication network, the IMAS has the relation of the communication network quick startup and ordinary maintenance directly. So during system manufacture, to validate test result, all-around performance test and contrastive experimentation are implemented. Not only succeed in the startup, run and ordinary maintenance of the communication network, the IMAS establishes the technical foundation for test systems in other respects and gains economy benefit and community benefit.
