With the development of information industry, which provides higher requirements toequipment supporting system, and with more and more quantity and variety of materials,and it also security space needed. At the same time, the security time is shorter and moreaccurate than before. But Implement time of equipment support is shorter gradually. So it ishard for traditional equipment support model and method to follow up this. Enhancingequipment supporting system is becoming one of the most important study issues. In thesynthesis support system, maintenance support system is big. Its main function is lookingfor the root of equipment fault. Fault tree is a useful tool for these complicated andlarge-size systems in reliability and safety analyzing. Therefore, it applies to design ofmaintenance support system. The root of FTA is fault tree which is also a basic and key linkrole in FTA.This thesis analyzes the background, purpose and current situation of research of theequipment support system the basic theory of the fault tree analysis method, and used theexample of the fault of the diesel of the dredge to construct the fault tree by using thedeductive method. In the thesis, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the fault tree iscarried out. Then the disadvantage of construct the fault tree will be offered and thetechnology of construct the fault tree by the help of computer was offered in the thesis.Computer-assisted contribution means that objective system is decomposed accordingto the system structural member and the causal model of structural member will exist in arelational data base, then the causal model will be converted with the method of algorithminto decision matrix, by which the system fault tree will generate automatically.The automatic generation system of fault tree not only saves the time and energy ofdesigner for manual builds but also guarantees the veracity of fault tree, which provide areliable guarantee for fault tree analysis. Therefore people can diagnosis the process systemin time, thus improve the reliability and integrity of the combat readiness and equipment.
