The main content of this article is the jitter separation method based on time and frequency domain. In the beginning of the article the definition and classification of jitter, and the sources and mathematical model of jitter components was introduced, then three types of jitter measurements definition was introduced in brief.The introduction of jitter separation algorithm contain two parts, in the first part, the classic jitter separation algorithm, which is called the Tailfit algorithm was simply introduced, In the statistical domain the jitter component to separate is mainly of deterministic jitter and random jitter; In the second part we focuses on the detailed implementation process of time and frequency domain jitter separation algorithm, this module separates into two parts: the frequency separation of periodic jitter and random jitter and the time and frequency domain separation of duty cycle distortion jitter and intersymbol interference. At the end of this article the causes of DJ are introduced as well as the improving way.
