Smart Home Control System Based On ARM

As science and technology and society's economic rapidly develop, people's living standards continue to improve, people began to look forward to have a safe, comfortable, energy-saving and convenient living environment. Smart Home appears in order to meet people pursuit of the new life. This article's goal is to design an intelligent, low cost-smart home system to offer people a safer, healthier, more convenient and more comfortable home environment.According to smart home's features and its basic functions, in this paper, we utilized rapid development of embedded technology. Our system used embedded ARM processor platform as the main control platform, which makes the whole system more compact. Our system not only can achieve traditional function of smart home system, but also has video surveillance module which can complete real-time monitoring of illegal intruders. The system also created a Internet server. With this function,the remote PC terminals, such as safety monitoring center of community, can access smart home through Internet and manage household appliances, control and monitoring of the family. In addition, the system also uses GSM/GPRS network as the second communicate medium. With GSM module, outdoor users can obtain alarm information of home by SMS. Through various means, this system can satisfy the requirements of home users.
