The Research And Design Of Embedded Video Surveillance For Baby Based On OpenCV

In recent years the embedded technology has developed rapidly, and the application fieldsbecome more diversified. All this comes from the development of the semiconductor industryfield of sustainable development and the update and improvement of operating system. Moore’s lawcurrently in the field is still apply.With the embedded system hardware which growing power of the performancedevelopment, the past some embedded cannot function of the realization of the now possible. Foronce only PC can deal with multimedia field, the embedded system can also achieve index,therefore, based on embedded video monitoring and image recognition combined with theadvantages of embedded system itself is a kind of high flexibility, low cost solutions.This design used a popular ARM processor as embedded system CPU, through variousconsider, the samsung S3C6410processor based on ARM11be choosed. In order to achieve thedesign in limited time,we used ARM Friendly Company’s tiny6410development board to dothe secondary development. The main content of Development is:Building the hardware andsoftware development platform, The embedded operating system Linux choice andtransplantation, OpenCV library transplantation and configuration, monitoring programdevelopment and testing, etc. The design process is also looking to video monitoring systemscalability, and make it to the behavior of the baby monitor can also through the loading othermodules, achieve more monitoring function, and provide convenience for the subsequentdevelopment.It gives the system test at last of the paper, the result shows that the system achieved thefunction. It also points out the shortcomings of the current design exists, and made reasonableanalysis to the prospect of this field.
