Design And Implementation Of Paperless Examination For Higher Education

With the popularity of computers, computer applications have penetrated into people's work, study, life, entertainment and other aspects. It has become a trend that computers are used in test management. In response to the national call of promoting energy conservation and creating a green-and-low carbon campus, the use of computers to implement paperless examination is the requirement of the times as well as an important measure to build a harmonious society and improve people's livelihood.The paperless examination system is based on the summary of my years of teaching and the current needs of our practical work. By using of computer technology, the system has such functions as managing exams, randomly generating test paper, testing and marking with high efficiency, accuracy, objectivity and impartiality, replacing the traditional pen-and-paper test pattern.The thesis expounds the meaning, importance and application prospects of paperless examination system. Base on this, first of all, it introduces the development of theoretical knowledge related to the system and the relevant technical requirements. Secondly, it has a needs analysis of the system and elaborates its framework. Then, it elaborates the design of question database, the module of test management, the module of test paper generation, the design of test interfaces and the marking module. Fourthly, it describes the testing process of the whole system. Lastly, it gives a comprehensive summary.The system uses C/S mode and theoretical knowledge of Software Engineering, choosing Visual Basic as the front development tool and Access database as the background development tool.The first version of the system has been tested in the final examination and the results show that the system is simple, stable, and accurate.
