In order to meet the requirements of airport informatization and the demands for airport geography spatial information of passengers', I developed the airport information service system based on GIS. This paper mainly describes the development and realization process of airport information service system based on GIS. According to the lifecycle of software engineering which includes the requirenments, configuration design, detailed design, coding and test etc., this paper ranged by every major link of it. First, I had carried out the design of overall configuration according to the requirements. I have completed UseCase mould by using UML. By choosing RationalRose tools i designed system class diagram, system sequence diagram and coordination diagram. Then I coded according to the design above, finally this paper shows several graphs after the code compiling and excuting, also this paper simply describes major test steps.I developed the map by choosing the advanced software of SuperMap GIS. This paper used the software of SuperMap Deskpro to modify and make the map and used the software of SuperMap Objects to carry out the secondary development. Because the quantity of the nodes was too much in the map, the inquery speed of the path was slow. In order to raise the efficiency of map route inquiry, this paper did the research of Dijkstra algorithm and optimized this algorithm. This paper used the optimized algorithm to develop the function of route inquiry and raised the efficiency of route inquiry maximumly. The website system uses MyEclipse integrated development environment and Java language to program. It uses the frame technologies such as Struts, spring and Hibernate.Along with the application of digital map and the swift development of the technology of 3S, the airport information service system based on GIS will be a development tendency in the future.
