With the proliferation of computers technology, office automation system (OA) is widely used in various department and college offices in universities. However recent years, the traditional OA systems gradually do not adapt to the demand of new applications. There exists communication difficulties among various departments and college offices, with the emergence of the "information islands", "poor adaptability," "coordination problem" and so on. The prevalence of these problems, indicates that the traditional design patterns and implementation techniques failed to meet the needs of the new office. This paper proposes a new office service model, which uses the different design patterns and implementation techniques to resolve above issues. This article focuses on the extraction and implementation of the basic office functions such as data definitions, synchronize, edit, access, printing, etc.. This service system aims to break up the barriers such as free sharing and collaboration license between departments and colleges and students, allowing users to freely design the customized and personalized business (such as custom business content, collaboration objects, etc.). This kind of design is different from the traditional model of OA.We use the C/S and B/S mixed mode to implement this sysem, mainly Sqlserver2005 database as underlyding storage, and embedded Microsoft Office components for the user interfaces. The C/S client based on asp on IIS web server generates html page template services to assist and, combine into a network office services system with flat edit data, to support the smooth sharing of information, freedom to customize the business and efficient collaboration. The system which employed collaborative OA philosophy is designed to be universal. We believe that minor changes can be applied to make this system suitable for office management of all types of schools, even various enterprise industries.
