Design And Implementation Of Appointment Management Software For University Office

With the increasing development of computer and network technology, people’s daily lives become increasingly dependent on it. Now more and more official work and medical attention are gradually providing the network reservation services. Especially, in colleges and universities, staff and students are no longer satisfied with situation now, they all want to have a more convenient way. When they have a business trip outside the universities, or in different place, they hope to make an appointment in the network. Meanwhile, since staff and students are now distributed in a large area, they also hope to make an appointment with more flexible way. Even in the campus, staff and students would not hope be bound by the administrative working hours, therefore, the university office appointment management is imperative.Based on many years of administrative experience, the author summarizes the characteristics of university affairs executive appointments, and presents the necessity and feasibility of University Office Appointment Management System. Combined with the characteristics of the current situation of university administration, we use sequence diagrams, case diagrams, collaboration diagrams and deployment diagrams to analysis administrative affairs. Secondly, we choose a appropriate level of university computer hardware and software, starting with contrast of C/S architecture and B/S architecture, and then analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these two architectures, and choose B/S architecture for use. We develop the University Office Reservation Management System with idea of modular design, and use Asp.net languages, SQL Server2005 for database, in addition with introduction of Asp.net language and SQL Server2005. Based on the above technology, the University Office reservation database management software has been designed, which has six modules: the House leadership appointments, inter-school exchanges appointment, seal use appointment, meeting room booking, reservation of official vehicles, information disclosure, and provided additional modules such as appointment timetable, appointment subject, and information analysis. The six modules are detailed designed and completed. Finally, the university office reservation management system was tested, the test indicates that the software is stable and reliable.Since the University Office Management Software is completed, it has been successfully applied to the Office of Vocational and Technical College. It not only provides convenience for staff and students, but also improves the efficiency of administrative personnel. So, it indeed provide a strong technical support for efficiency of the university.
