Along with the rapid development of electronic information technology, the status of general information on behalf of individuals was often illegally obtained and used by others, affecting people's work and life, allowing rapid development of biometric technology. The fingerprint recognition comes to the fore in a number of bio-identification technology for its stable performance, high accuracy rate low cost advantages. In view of having a small kernel, simple structure, specificity, and real-time data processing features for embedded systems based DSP, in this paper, we design a embedded fingerprint identification system, which sets fingerprint collection, comparison and verification as a whole, processes procedure rapidly, occupies small space, and can be embedded into other electronic devices in the expansion of more features in order to widely use in e-commerce, criminal investigation, security and other fields.Although the number of the fingerprint recognition algorithms is large, but the processing speed is slower. So on the basis of the need to improve the accuracy of the original algorithm,and to improve the speed of fingerprint identification. I do a preliminary study on fingerprint identification system based on DSP.Frist, Preprocessing of Fingerprint Image, including: prestd fingerprint image in order to reduce the gray level; To carve up the fingerprint image by calculating the gradient value of the fingerprint image; To enhance fingerprint image by simplified The Gabor filter; To thin the fingerprint by means of Look-up table method.Second, In the right of the fingerprint matching, I compute singular points by adopting improved algorithms, and calculate the number of singular points and their location; To acquire fingerprint feature points depend on eight neighborhood law; To improve regulating algorithm and matching algorithm on the basis of original algorithm for fingerprint image.Last, To design circuit of fingerprint acquisition using FPS200 chip, design hardware circuit combining with DSP for fingerprint identification system and design software, and introduce BOOTLOADER program in detail.By use of hardware circuits, we can collect fingerprint images under software debugging environment. In this paper, we rely on the mentioned algorithm to realize pre-processing, feature points extraction and matching for fingerprint images, making the circuit complete the fingerprint match in a shorter time.
