With climate change and the world energy crisis intensifies, the wind and other renewable energy sources are highly valued by more and more governments around the world . In particular, the expansion of wind power industry has been developing extremely rapidly in recent years, the wind farm meteorological parameters such as temperature and humidity of the acquisition have emerged. In current domestic and international markets existed many wind temperature and humidity data acquisition systems.they use a wired data transfer, or use the GSM, GPRS and other payment methods for wireless data transmission, the existence of this product wiring complexity, high cost defects and with poor reliability. With the development of wireless communication technology, ZigBee technology for its low-power, low cost, the simple advantage of networking are increasingly being used in a variety of wireless communication systems. This topic of wind farm temperature and humidity wireless data acquisition system is built based on the ZigBee technology. The system uses temperature and humidity sensors collecting data on wind farms, using MSP430 microprocessor for data processing,using ZigBee wireless communication chip to transfer data to data processing center for data processing, and then data is stored into the SD card to complete data storage, while displayed on the LCD screen.This paper describes data acquisition module and data processing module's operating principle and software and hardware design, develop the ZigBee wireless communications hardware platform, transplant the United States TI's ZigBee protocol stack, and in its application layer add a custom application function, to achieve data collection, processing and other functions.Temperature and humidity wireless data acquisition system design for wind farm is with low power consumption, and good scalability network,large data storage capacity, easy operation,etc.it can be used in a variety of wind farm wind projects, wind energy resources can assessment, wind farm siting, wind turbine selection and installation and reliability studies,and to provide detailed and accurate data to support power transmission system design decisions on projects.
