With the rapid development of our country's science and technology, the scientific experiments have become an important means that can keep scientific and technological progressing. So to the site of scientific experiments - laboratory, there is not only an high demand to its hardware,but also has some relatively harsh conditions to the environment of laboratory. At past when we collected information about temperature and humidity, we always used some cable equipments, not only was the wiring very difficult and was the workload huge, but also the signal was easy to be disturbed by others electronic devices when it had be transferred long distance, and it also had some attenuations, all of these had increased the difficulty to signal processing. With the rapid development of wireless communications, the wireless-based products are rapidly increasing. So using the wireless communication modules to achieve data transferring will be the new trend.This design is a laboratory temperature and humidity centralized monitoring system which based on ZigBee technology, using a RF network which called ZigBee technology to build an tree cluster-based network and achieve laboratory environment full covering. After that using the digital temperature and humidity sensors SHT11 which are installed on each ZigBee terminal to collect information about temperature and humidity, then we should do some compensations to these information, at last using the wireless network to transfer the information to the host for monitoring.This project focuses on introducing the design of temperature and humidity collection terminal., not only analyzing the tree cluster-based network which based on ZigBee technology, but also explaining the design of PC management software. Then we will build an experimental platform to collect laboratories'temperature and humidity, and achieve the designing about the laboratory temperature and humidity centralized monitoring system which based on ZigBee technology.
