Design And Implementation Of Virtual Campus Of WeiFang University Of Science & Technology

Virtual reality is a new technology which is widely applied in many fields. Virtual campus is one of its important branches, and has wide application perspective. Now, many research institutions and universities have studied the virtual campus technology, some schools have finished their own virtual campus. But there are still some problems, for example, low efficiency, lack of reality, poor interactivity and no mature development model, the applications on network are still scarcer.The research of this paper is based on VR-Platform, a 3D interactive simulation platform. After reading a large number of relevant papers, combining with my knowledge and practices on virtual campus, we selected photoshop, AutoCAD and other software to build the virtual campus, and used 3DS MAX to model the campus, at last I finished a virtual campus with roaming capabilities and extended it to web publishing by the use of VRP-IE. The virtual system produced by VR-Platform has the realistic effects and high efficiency.After the comparison and analysis of existing virtual reality software, we designed the approach to implement the virtual campus, then focused on the modeling of the scene and discussed the use of 3DS MAX in modeling process. Finally, after studying the key technologies of virtual simulation in the VRP platform, we introduce the details of the system implementation.The implement of virtual campus of WeiFang University of Science & Technology would help us on the future digital campus.
