For the reason of the Chinese continued warming, there are more and more foreigners begin to learn Chinese. It is a new teaching method to use Chinese songs assisted the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Many schools have opened this course in different ways. This paper first introduces the research of teaching Chinese as a second language by use of Chinese songs’ purpose and significance, current situation and deficiency, theory and method; Secondly, it illustrates the necessity and feasibility of use Chinese songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and discusses why it is necessary to apply the Chinese songs to the classroom of Chinese as a foreign language;Then respectively from the principle of the selection of Chinese songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the problem of two aspects should be paid attention to when choose the criteria for the selection of Chinese songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language; Finally the Chinese songs is applied to the study of the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and choose the Chinese songs for all the text in BoYa Chinese,as the used for auxiliary teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
