| Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which is common and easy to relapse, is characterized by overlying erythema of scales,with a film phenomenon and spotting, traditional Chinese medicine called "Baibi".Because of its multiple lesions, stubborn unhealed characteristics,of ten cause psychological stress and heavy economic burden to patients, and seriously affect the patients’quality of life, is always the key research object of Dermatology fields. The pathogenesis of psoriasis is not clear, now it is widely recognized as a hereditary inflammatory,proliferative skin disease. Through thousands of years of clinical practice, traditional Chinese medicine treatment of psoriasis has got a wealth of experience and received certain advantages by taking syndrome differentiation.Fire needle therapy has a long history in our country,and it can be traced back to the period before Qin, which is a method of acupuncture treatment by using a special needle to pierce in acupuncture point after red with fire. During the next thousands of years, its theory and clinical application continues to improve,matures,which is now widely used in the clinical treatment of various diseases. Clinical studies have shown that it has a good effect on a variety of skin diseases. This study was designed by clinical studies to validate that fire needle combined with huoxue jiedu decoction is effective and security as a treatment of the plaque psoriasis.The paper includes two parts,the literature review and clinical research.Literature review are two chapters:first one it’s for the overview of treatment of psoriasis by TCM. Including the name, pathogenesis and treatment of psoriasis in ancient literature, the experience of diagnosing and treating psoriasis by modern masters and the TCM treatment of psoriasis clinical research progress in recent years. Second it’s for the overview of treating skin diseases by fire needle, including an overview of the origin of fire needle therapy, indications, contraindications,methods of operation,and the treatment of skin disease clinical research progress in recent years.Clinical research:enroll 20 plaque psoriasis patients according to the diagnostic criteria of TCM. And randomly divided them into two groups, the fire needle combined with huoxue jiedu decoction was the therapy group,the huoxue jiedu decoction was the control group. After 4 weeks treatment, record their PASI scores, the symptoms of TCM scores and the degree of itching scores and so on. All analyses were managed by SPSS17.0 software. Result:There were 17 out of 20 patients completed the research.11 out of 17 in the therapy group, and 6 of 17 in the control group. There was no difference about the general information in both of the groups before the treatment, which is comparable. After 4 weeks treatment, both of the PASI scores in two groups decreased(P<0.05), which shown that both of the methods had satisfactory curative effect on the plaque psoriasis, but there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05). Both of the rash color scores, the degree of infiltration scores in two groups decreased(P<0.05),which showed that both of the methods had satisfactory curative effect on the blood stasis of psoriasis, but there was no significant difference between them(P<0.05).The degree of itching score in treatment group decreased(P<0.05),which shown that it had satisfactory curative effect on itching,there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05),which shown that the treatment group had a better curative effect on itching. The total effective percentage were 90% in the therapy group and 85.7% in the control group, this difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05)and both of them have no significant side effects. Conclusion:the treatment of psoriasis by using fire needle combined with huoxue jiedu decoction is safe and effective. |
