Fire Needle Combined With Blood Detoxification Soup Clinical Study Of The Treatment Of Plaque Psoriasis

This article includes two main parts. One is the literature review, the other is the clinical research report. Literature review:The literature review is subdivided into two parts. The first part summ arises the progress on the external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in treating psoriasis. The second reviews the fire acupuncture clinica1and mechanism research in skin diseases.Clinical research:Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and the safety of fire acupunct ure with Huoxuejiedu formula and to normalize its operation and methodology in the treatment of plaque psoriasis. Looking for new ways in TCM that can b e widespread in dermatologies.Methods:We performed a prospective multicenter、large sample、randomized t rial to compare these two treatment strategies. We divided71cases into two groups according to different treatment methord.37cases are in treatment g roup treated by fire acupuncture and HUOXUEJIEDU formular, rest34cases are in control group treated by only HUOXUEJIEDU formula. The course of both tw o groups are30days. Observe the change of psoriasis lesions area, erythem a, infiltrating, squames,PASI, itching index and rating scale of quality of life before and after the treatment.Results:(1) Both of the two groups have no significant difference among age, sex.co urse of psoriasis, family history and psoriasis lesions area, erythema,infi ltrating,squames,PASI, itching index and rating scale of quality of life b efore the treatment(P>0.05). So these two groups are comparable.(2)According to PASI index, the total clear effect rate was87.1%in the tr eatment group, which was78%in the contrast group. When it comes to the syn drome index of TCM, the total clear effect rate was56.2%in treatment group s and48.1%in the other group. All above.there are no significant differen ces between the two groups(P>0.05).(3)Two groups in the symptomatic integral dropped after treatment and there are statistical significance in erythema, infiltrating, squames, PASI, itc hing index and rating scale of quality of life before and after the treatme nt (P<0.05).(4)Comparing with the two groups after the treatment, there are significant difference among the skin lesions area, squames and itching index(P<0.05). B ut in erythema, infiltrating, squames, PASI and rating scale of quality of1ife, there are little difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:Both the treatment group and the control group can reduce the integral of skin erythema, infiltrating,squames,PASI.itching index and rating scale of quality of life.
