| The teleeducation (Long Distance Education), is a kind of the strange land or the teaching activity way carried on in strange land when being different at the same time,it is the education skill of new generation that the computer network combines with multimedia technology. Utilize the Long Distance Education, getting the masses of to can break through traditional education in educational resource educator and educational method (Unify the progress, such restrictions of respect as it concentrates types on to be and one-way to teach), can arrange one's own study plan and study schedule according to one's own professional skill and time situation educator, realize " educating individualized " which can't be accomplished in traditional education, the application because of the multimedia technology at the same time , can fully utilize such many kinds of medias as text , figure picture , audio frequency and cartoon ,etc. to carry on mutually in the teaching course, thus excite the interest of studying , improve the quality of education. So, the Long Distance Education has offered a kind of very effective means for spread education, continue educating. This paper introduces the concept of the long distance education at first. Because of differences in way and method of information propagating, the development of long distance education experienced three phases. The first phase is a teaching by correspondence phase adopting paper medium by mail as a main method. The second phase is a broadcast television teaching phase adopting broadcast television and record as main methods. The third phase is a on-line long distance phase adopting the combination of computer, multimedia and telecommunicating techniques. The paper introduced the present development situation of domestic and international long distance education. The paper discusses the construction of the examination platform which include the design, the reality of the examination database system, the test paper generating system and the answering system. Basing on Windows NT, taking IIS as Web Server, choosing ASP and SQL Server to perform the project. Moreover it introduces the design process of the database module and the function module. Examination is an important means to examine the students'study result, and it is also an important tache within the long range education. With various type of examination rising continuously, the more the students distributed, the bigger scale taken. Workload and difficulties that organize the examination are more and more big. Therefore, we need a kind of examination terrace to satisfy traditional and modern two kinds of demand for examines. The goal of this system is to realize the teacher who can carry on a database manages and tries a test paper management; the student who can carry on the ego test and unify the examination; the system who can generate the test paper at random. The main research of this paper tries a database management system and tries a generate system. The development of examines the platform basing on the Windows NT operating system, taking IIS as server of Web, choosing the BWD( the browser network database) structure, adopting technique of ASP to be the stage development , using the SQL Server as the backstage support database. Introducing the concrete design process of the system in detail, among them include the database design, function design, etc. Try an importance of a database is to investigate system is to constitute the part, record to go into through a data, such as medium and characters...etc, become to form a database, among them should include to choose, fill blank and judge various types, such as, essay question and actual operation...etc., thusstrengthened the flexibility of generating a test paper .Moreover, in order to develop the advantage of the multimedia, we can apply various medium forms such as the picture, voice, video frequency...etc, it make the topic style diversify, strengthen true feeling of the spot. Be the application of integrity, a database should include the contents of the two sides at least; one is formula relationship database, the other is data warehouse, because it not only needs to collect the data, but also wants the analytical data, the percolation data, the confirmation data structure, look for data trend etc. This system is based on test questions recording, and it should carry on edit management including data modification, data deleting and data increasing. In addition to these basic editor functions, a database manages the most important mission of the system is to fix that the analysis revises to try a parameter and statistics a database. Should allow many persons to register to try a database at the same time in a database manage system, and carry on the reviewing modification towards trying. The problem needs to solve is the conflict when more than one customer to modify the database at the same time. When several customers visit the same record at the same time, it will produce to the problem; the solution that the relation database adopts is the technique of lock arithmetic. Test papers which are unified according to a strategy in advance, and generated model to meet the customer request, then generate test paper according to the model. A process is under the condition that difficulty coefficient; try to overlay the knowledge, to satisfy the stipulations possibility. It should have some functions such as editing,previewing, naming, renaming and looking through the test paper, etc. Moreover, it should havesome others functions such as making with the test paper by several people ,test paper merging and choosing test paper at random. Because of limited time and tacking experience, some work has to be carried out to make the system perfect. The renewal of the data and the control of the redundancies still need to get the improvement in the fulfillment. Currently, the network examination system is adapted to the objective questions, such as the type of the essay question, the design. To the subjective ones, if its answer disunity, it could not be processed by computer, still need the teacher to make judgment. Therefore, work is still to be done to realize the no paper examination actually.
