Research On Web-Based Listening Testing

The development of computers and net technology has been promoting the change of educational means. Web~based education is one of the changes. Nowadays various web—based colleges and web—based educational organizations are built up everywhere, which makes the net education develop extremely quickly. As a result, traditional teaching methods and teaching means have been changing, and the traditional examination means going with them have to be changed with them. So web-based texts relating web-based education has become one of important and necessary research field.One of the web—based testing researches is how to put the test based on the multiple mediums into practice. Net listening test based on the information of multiple mediums becomes one of the important researches into the net examination. This article aims at finding a way to give a listening test through WEB on the base of analysis of the present situation of net tests and net listening tests. It gives two kinds of reference methods of listening tests on the web by using synchronism technology of multiple mediums and raises a complete plan for listening test system designed on the web. The Following are the main achievements of the article:1, Analysed the web-based listening testing and summarized a problem for the current web-based listening testing.2, Making a reference plan for solving the problem of synchronism and intercommunication when giving a listening test using HTML+FLASH technology;3, Making a reference plan for a net listening test on WEB by using HTML+realplayer+SMIL technology;4, Designing a complete system of web-based listening test based on HTML+reedplayer+SMIL technology and dissecting its cruxes.
