Wearable Computer is a personal mobile computing system characterized by micro, wearability, perfect wedding and coordination between human and computer. It is the unavoidable product of the concept "Computing should fit human and contribute to the combination between human and machine". Wearable computer introduce a novel computing concept and mode which extends classic desktop and mobile computing on concept, architecture, human-computer relation, communicating way, function, application area, and the method of design and development as well. The widen computer application area and extended computer function brought by wearable computer presents new subject and challenge for computer science and technology. The birth of wearable computers has brought about a signifcant change to our traditional relation of human computer interaction,and caused important influences to our life.The wearable computer realizes the advanced interaction style and interaction idea of "people first", it needs the support of the computing environment because of the individual wearable computer'slimited resources. Computing environment and cooperation of the wearable computers both depend on some kind of communication technique. Because of its intrinsic characteristic of mobility and wearability, wearable computer is greatly relied on wireless communication technology to realize coordinated work and information transmission and sharing. At present, the research on wearable computer is still located on starting phase and the wireless network communication technology adapted for wearable computer is not mature. In order to put forward wireless network communication solution for wearable computer, the main works of this paper is as follows: 1) We analysed and contracted some kinds of communication technique based on some experiments,then ensure that Ad Hoc can be primary communication technique for wearable computer originally. Digital radio and GPRS can be the accessorial communication technique. 2) We summarized the WLAN's characteristics,key technique,architecture and development trend,then analysed some advantages and some probelems when we use Ad Hoc in wearable computer communication. . 3)We bring forward the settle project in allusion to the exchange between the digital redio and WLAN,route between two differ networks.We also use OPNET to simulate these project,at last,we analyse the result.
