Study On Wearable Computer Used In Cooperation System For Fire Service

Wearable Computer is a personal mobile computing system characterized by micro, wearability, perfect wedding and coordination between human and computer. It is the unavoidable product of the concept "Computing should fit human and contribute to the combination between human and machine". According as wearable computer is used in all kinds of area, people gradually pay more attention to using wearable computer to conduct cooperation work, specially conducting multimeida cooperation work. Wearable computer supperted cooperation work is different from CSCW in traditional way. Wearable computer supperted cooperation work is based on a mobile computing platform, and its requirement for the technology of human-machine interaction, multimedia , wireless communication is bradnew and more precision. The widen computer application area and extended computer function brought by wearable computer presents new subject and challenge for computer science and technology.Through the study on multimedia system of wearable computer supported cooperative work in fire service,we hope we can present a practical solution of the multimedia system of wearable computer supported cooperative work and the solution can be a reference for other associated application area.But wearable computer is in the junior development stage, and wireless communication can afford only limited bandwith, at the same time inside and outside the research of multimedia system of wearable computer supported cooperative work is just beginning. According to the present condition, the main works of this paper is as follows:(1) Based on collected and read literatures, according to the character of working in fire-fighting, and the study on the application wearable computer, this paper summarizes characteristics of wearable computer, and the requirement wireless communication, multimedia, and the function of wearable computer used in the fire-fighting.(2) According to characteristics of wearable computer's network, and based on the feasible research on wireless communication, mobile communication we propose the communication solution of this CSCW system.(3) Through establishing a cooperation model, we analysis the system mechanism, and propose a cooperation interaction mode and cooperation control mechanism which is suitable for the system we will design. All of these are prepare for the designing of the system hardware and software.(4) Finally, we proposed a "centralized-distributed " software architecture, and proposed the detail function designing structure of the hardware and the client software.
