Under the environment of serious competition and customers' increasing personal requirement, companies have to take advanced technology to enhance their capability in producing high quality products. The key factors that determine the company whether to be successful or not are that can it make customization product with high quality and various kinds in the least time. Customer-oriented design is the necessary trend of the development of economy. It is an important factor for companies to attract more customers if it can answer to customers' cost inquiry quickly and exactly.After studying many systems of customization and cost-estimation of our country and foreign countries and after analyzing deficiencies of them, the thesis proposes a Cost-estimation System for customer-oriented product, which adapt to small or middle scale companies of our country. The system transfers the customization functional model to product's structural model, which is the base of customization. The precondition of the system is to make the full use of advanced technology nowadays: the standardization, modularization and re-usability of product are precondition for customization; product configuration model is the basis of system; the model transformation from functional model to structural model is the key technology of the system; the cost estimation on base of product structural tree is the aim of the system.Firstly, the thesis proposes a method for establishing product main model, which is the precondition of product's configuration. The model is a configured model established on the base of products' standardization, modularization and re-usability. It mainly consists of functional layer, structural layer, model layer and main document layer. The least unit of the model is not one part but many parts combined together to carry out one basic function.Secondly, the thesis proposes the arithmetic for product functional configuration modeling and structural configuration modeling: the former one designed for customers mainly consists of functional modeling, method of mapping from customers'requirement to product's function and mapping from product's function to structure which is based on FAM; the latter one designed for designer mainly consists of product structural modeling, modular document editing and configuration conflicts detecting, etc.Thirdly, the thesis proposes arithmetic for cost estimation, which combines the method of estimating in detail and the estimating on the BP neutral network model. As respect to the similar modular and reusable modular in the structural tree of requisite product, they use the former method. For new modular, it takes the second method that prevents complex non-liner parameter transmitting from the design field to the cost field, which completes cost estimating in the early process of design. The thesis uses the blasting cabinet of shot blasting as an example, introducing the method for constructing BP network and its application.Finally, the thesis introduces the whole frame of system in detail, which contains the whole frame design, structural design, database design and working process design of the system. And the thesis gives relevant interfaces at the same time.
