As government's information construction deepens progressively, how to use the existing technology of computer to set up a strong, flexible and efficient management information system has become an important issue concerned by governors gradually. However, different organs present a variety of situations, how to establish an appropriate software platform in response to the actual requirements is of vital importance. This thesis explores a professional software platform which satisfies special requirements of housing management. This software frame adopts Client/Server mode and its design pattern is based on software engineering. This thesis starts with the basic theory of developing MIS system, involving developing process, platform selection, UML systematic modeling and data-base design approach, etc. And then it puts forward an integrated housing management solution, including the detailed requirements analysis, the design method of architecture, the function design of sub-module, the data-base design and systemic integration and deployment; thus further elaborates administrative office system, housing management system, housing renting system and housing removing system. Finally this thesis demonstrates the advantages and technical points of virtual private network (VPN) as a remote access method and describes the application of VPN. The housing and administrative managing could be implemented by computer with the aid of this management system. The data input, query, statistics, modification, printing and submitting could be accomplished by the system as well. The housing management substitutes those manual operations and enhances the working efficiency and precision, so that housing maintenance station could carry on more conveniently, rapidly and efficiently.
