Research And Implementation Of PSIM System Base On SQL Stored Procedure

With the rapid development of the computer network and the communication technologies, MIS (Management Information System) has been widely applied. Especially the Purchase, Sales and Inventory management system (referred to as PSIM system hereafter) has become one of the most important methods for enterprises simplifying daily business operations, improving management and making fast and efficient decisions.Now there are much mature, powerful ERP software, which focus on PSIM system, but most of them are expensive and are not suitable for middle and small enterprises. So providing a rapid and economical solution of PSIM system for middle and small enterprises has become a problem. To solve this problem many software companies have developed their tools appropriate for Management Information System.This paper deal with the information and the database technology to make an active exploration of the development of the PSIM system. Firstly, the Architecture of the PSIM is studied and the client-server model is adopted, secondly the application of the store process, the data windows and the database connection based on the Powerbuilder and the SQL Server to develop the PSIM is discussed, finally, as a example, the model of the fitting and profile PSIM is established and the methods and the technologies studied are applied to the development of the system.The results show that the methods are benefit to the development of the PSIM rapidly, and the characteristic of this PSIM system is the rapidity of data processing, the extensibility and flexibility of the system. Users can easily change their existing systems to this system while maintaining the existed functions and enhancing the capability of the future extension.
