Research On XML-based Data Service Middleware For ERP

With advancement of modernizing enterprise management in China, it is imperative for an enterprise to implement ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) in order to enhance management level and capability. At the same time, the emergence of various new technologies in language, standard and framework provide a new approach for ERP application integration. Our Research in ERP Data Service Middleware aims at the ERP-S/8 system that we have developed. In this project, we analyze ERP data source, apply UML(Unified Modeling Language) and XML(extensible Markup Language) for modeling, and then develop data service middleware in XML. This data service middleware approach and results will help enterprise in ERP upgrade, application integration as well as development cost reduction.
